Summer Camp options just got better for 7-14 year olds.
Hey fellow Brooklyn parents,
It’s not every day that something comes along with the potential to genuinely shake up the way our kids learn. But today, I’m thrilled to share something that’s got me all kinds of excited – the launch of Brains & Motion Education (BAM!).
Imagine a program that not only focuses on STEM & arts but also brings physical activity into the mix. Yes, you heard that right. BAM! is pioneering a holistic approach to education that combines cognitive development with physical wellness. As a dad who’s always looking for ways to get kids off their screens and into more active pursuits, this is a game-changer.
Their camp held at NYU is designed to cater to students from 2nd through 8th grade, which means it’s something that can grow with our kids, offering them continuous support throughout their most formative years. The blend of academic enrichment and physical activity is engineered to foster an environment where kids can thrive intellectually while also developing a love for staying active.
In today’s fast-paced world, ensuring our children receive an education that prepares them for the challenges of tomorrow is paramount. BAM! is stepping up to the plate, promising an engaging, effective, and, importantly, fun learning experience.
This summer, BAM! is offering a range of courses designed to keep our kids engaged, active, and learning in a holistic way. Lego Robotics, yes please! How about Engineering with Rube Goldberg, I’ve always wanted to make a Rube Goldberg Machine! As a lover of stop motion, their Animation DreamLab: Character Creation & Storytelling in Motion may be the one I am most excited about. And here’s the cherry on top: the summer camp is located at NYU, nestled right between Union Square and Washington Square.
For us Brooklyn folks, this location is a dream come true. Getting there is a breeze from almost any subway line in Brooklyn, making it super convenient for drop-offs and pickups, even during our busy schedules. This isn’t just about convenience; it’s about giving our kids an enriching summer experience in one of the most vibrant parts of the city.
To all the Brooklyn parents out there constantly on the hunt for innovative educational solutions, BAM! might just be worth a look. It’s about time our kids’ education reflects the dynamism of the world they’re growing up in.
Stay active, stay curious,
A Brooklyn Dad
